My Everyday Makeup Storage Kit

As a mom of one (and another on the way) I have to figure out ways to be as efficient as possible in the mornings so I can quickly do my hair and makeup and not look like a run-down mom. 

I noticed there was a lot of makeup that I don't use on the daily mixed in with my daily favorites making it hard to find those items I always use,  so I got this GODMORGON Box from Ikea for only $18 to organize my everyday favs!  

Once I got home, it was time to organize my makeup!  I selected ONLY my everyday makeup favorites so when I am in a rush to get out of the house in the mornings, everything I need to quickly find is at my fingertips.

I put the rest of my makeup that I don't use everyday or frequently in another makeup box tucked away so when I want access to them they are still organized.

Now it takes a fraction of the time to do my makeup in the morning, I'm not digging through makeup to find what I need, and I feel more organized which takes some stress out of having to get ready.

  

As you can see above the section I use as a brush holder moves up and down so you can store more makeup below it.  

I've been drooling over makeup boxes that look really similar to this one on Instagram that are $100+ but I couldn't get myself to buy them so when I went to IKEA in hopes of finding something similar I thought this was a perfect substitution!
