Palm Springs Vacation: Day 3

Day 3
-JW Marriott Desert Springs Spa Day-

Day 3 of our Palm Springs vacation was the final day of our trip where we spent the entire day at the spa.  The Desert Springs Spa at the JW Marriott Resort & Spa is by far my favorite part of our entire trip.

The Desert Springs Spa is America's largest spa measuring at 38,000 square feet.  They even offer an exclusive 600 square-foot private suite, called the Spa Sanctuary which was designed to cater to VIPs and Hollywood elite.

The walk to the Spa was a pleasurable one, being welcomed by beautiful calming music, cacti, and  beautiful desert scenery.

After checking in at the spa, we walked over to the Private Spa Pool which was incredibly relaxing.  There was only a handful of people at the pool creating a calming, serene atmosphere.

I really enjoyed the peace and quiet this pool offered.  They even had a gentleman that was walking around with ice cold water the ENTIRE time.  My cup was never empty, which was awesome considering we were laying out in 106 degree weather!

We literally woke up and went to the spa so we were really hungry.  I was happy to find out that the Spa had a bistro on site that had breakfast, lunch and smoothies.  A server from the bistro came out and took our orders.

My friend Annie had the iced tea which was delicious, but a little on the pricey side (I believe it was $7)., and my other friend Araz ordered the Hummus/Eggplant Appetizer for all of us to share.  This appetizer is a must-try, which means a lot coming from a girl raised on eating hummus and eggplant!

I ordered the Turkey Cranberry Sandwich and substituted the fruit or chips side option with a Greek Salad.  The salad was absolutely amazing and refreshing and the sandwich was delicious.  I would definitely recommend this!

My friend Annie ordered a Greek Salad with piece of Salmon.  She was really happy with it.  This made a GREAT low-carb lunch!

My friend Liz and I had the Berry Smoothie which was perfect for the hot weather.  I had to go inside the spa because it started quickly melting, but the smoothie was very delicious!

If you are planning to visit this resort, I would recommend visiting the main pool the first day and then having a relaxing spa day on the last day just like we did.  If you are going to Desert Springs for a relaxing weekend, I would recommend hanging out at the spa pool all day.

The Spa Pool is for those that have spa services or those who purchase the all-day spa pass, which I definitely recommend doing one or the other.

As a side note, the spa offers amazing services, steam rooms and even has a hair salon and very large fitness center attached.  Be sure to check out all their amenities when visiting.

This concluded our trip!  We headed back home in a calm and happy state of mind after an amazing fun filled, relaxing stay at the JW Marriott Desert Springs!

....and of course, a Starbucks drink is always handy when sitting through a 2 hour drive home!  Cheers!
